CHRISTA……La NEO Parisienne……After being established in Cape Town for some time, LA COMTESSE settled in Paris for some weeks to attend the spring summer2008 shows of the most famous designers. Christina Hermina Claasen-Williams, (better known as Christa) director of LA COMTESSE modelling agency, partner of the main Parisian agencies, Marilyn and Metropolitan, travelled across the Europe of fashion shows. Her presence was noticed and noticeable side by side with Karl Lagerfeld or Ines de la Fressange, at the best Parisian parties or with Delfina Deletrez Fendi at the presentation of her wonderful jewel collection. Having largely contributed to the success of the Cape Town fashion week last August, Christa, whose shoes collection would make Celine Dion envious, uniquely sponsored the presentation of the Emmanuel Ungaro collection on the evening of the show of her close friend Gavin Rajah. Christa is known for being a business woman and welfare personality of south african fashion and jewellery. Strong of years spent with De Beers, having been, model, international athlete, TV journalist and special reporter, wearing at any time the best of Lagerfeld, Lacroix or Chanel… as well as some of the best of south africa Kluk, Lagrange…, jewelled by Chanel or Dior, Christa invest her time and energy to fulfil her passion for fashion and creation. The opening in Cape Town, under the auspices of her good friend, ex Miss Universe, Michelle McLain, of her “boutique de luxe” will just be another step forward.
