ELIE SAAB, Parisian at HeartAt the corner of the 1, Rond Point des Champs-Elysées, ELIE SAAB unveils his Couture home. By the shade of flowering chestnut trees, he mirrors the design of the Elie Saab flagship in Beirut in the heart of the golden triangle. This prestigious location reflects his collections. The foyer features stunning glass and metal with a white rose garden floor. Clean architectural lines guide the eye toward the stairway : mineral and majestic, it leads clients to the first floor like that of a luxurious private residence. And there, in one block, a linear space unfolds, punctuated by a succession of windows and mirrors which play the natural light off each other. The looks are presented as if in a museum, each one more seductive than the next. They incarnate the spirit of a runway show. Echoing the themes of the ELIE SAAB headquarters in the Lebanese capital, the architect Chakib Richani created a custom-made presentation space. Omnipresent travertine, a lightly marbled porous limestone, dresses the walls while the chocolate-brown leather sofas, wengé wood furniture and elegant orchids complete the décor. In one block, the boutique features presentation alcoves. Illuminated in a golden light, evening bags and clutches are nestled inside. The end hides three vast changing rooms. At the center of the supporting wall, a succession of mirrors enlarges the space. A hidden door accesses the Couture salons - a water-like granite floor charms the eye. There, Couture dresses are admired on an immense wall mirror and are doubled for the greatest enjoyment of our dazzled senses.
